weird rash?....help

so a few weeks ago my DS had a little red patch of pimples on the top of his butt....right below the top of the diaper.  I put diaper creams, cortizone, etc on and didn't go away....then it spread down his leg... the bumps/pimples weren't as close together...just all on his legs...they were more flesh colored with a pinkness to them.  Took to dr. and she said it was a contact dermatitis thing or eczema.......she said to keep him lotioned up well and to use dove soap and gave an RX of a cortizone since the other didn't work.   well it has kind of helped on the butt area but it's on both of his legs now and under his arms?  Does this sound like eczema?  or something else.  Doesn't bother DS at all....anyone else experience this?  Thanks for any input.

    Sounds like Ethan's eczema.  I has it really bad.  His dermatologist said to use Vanicream lotion daily and after baths and it has helped soooo much, so much in fast we rarely even use his rx anymore.  You can get it in the pharmacy section at Target, it's pricey but it lasts a while.
