Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Going back to work in 3w & nothing fits :(

I was between jobs with DD so I was home for 6 months. I have 4 months with DS. I bought a few pairs of pants a size bigger last time & they don't fit. Not to mention my regular stuff.

I don't know if I want to wait & see what i can lose btw now & then or get some stuff off ebay or what. :(  I keep trying them on .....

Re: Going back to work in 3w & nothing fits :(

  • Is it your hips or added weight?  None of my pants fit at 3 mos, but by 3.5 mos, my hips suddenly shifted and I could at least get things buttoned.

I lived in dresses my first week or so back. And the high-waisted look for skirts is in if you can hike them up a little...

  • Both!  I still have 20 lbs to lose & I can't stop eating! I can get the bigger ones on but the muffin top is disgusting once the pants are buttoned! I need to eat better & see what happens in the next week or so. A miracle?!
  • I feel you. With the weather getting colder, wearing skirts & dresses was no longer an option. I ended up buying a couple pairs of jeans because I couldn't fit into anything either. I put off buying for almost a month, but since I really don't have time or energy to work out right now, I honestly don't think I'll be able to fit back into my PP jeans/pants any time soon :(  Sigh...

  • I feel your pain.  I go back in a week and a half.  My workplace is very casual and I can wear jeans, but only two pair of my jeans fit and I pretty much have to lay down on the bed to get them fully zipped and buttoned and then I have the big ol muffin top once they are on.  Disgusting!  I bought one pair from Express online the day after thanksgiving they had everything 40% off and I had a coupon to use so I got them for $30.  I wish I had bought more then one pair but I also bought a sweater and tank to wear when I got the jeans.  Even my shirts don't really fit, before I was an xs and now I need mediums.  I try to use my old stuff and pull on the lower part of the shirts to try to stretch them to make them wider, lol.  I have been wearing mainly sweats and my maternitny shirts for the time that I have been off.  Ughh!
  • If it is any consolation...I've been back to work for about a month now, and I almost immediately dropped 5 pounds in the first two weeks, and even a bit more after that. I had a residual 10 pounds hanging on, and had already resolved myself to the fact that they would probably stick around until I stopped breastfeeding. Something about not eating crap and pumping all the time, and moving around a lot more (I can walk fast from place A to B during work hours...it rocks having some time each day not to have to worry about lugging around a kid). I did what you're doing with re: to panic...and I bought about four new pairs of pants 1-2 sizes up...now they are huge on me. At least that is one good thing about going back to work!
