  I've heard of vegans using olive oil instead of lanolin (which comes from sheep's wool). Rubbing breastmilk into your nipples and letting them air dry works good too.

  I love the Medela Tender Care lanolin. I had samples of different kinds and this was by far the nicest, very smooth and not sticky.

  your body cannot digest vasoline. so I would not use it on your nipples. stick with the lanolin.

  Not sure...I use this stuff and I prefer the consistency much more than the lanolin.
