Ok, have a few issues i need advice on. DD is almost 5 months
1. DD will NOT let my husband put her to bed. Daddy can feed her put her for naps if I'm not home, but no way, no how can he put her to bed at night. As soon as he approaches her room, she starts screaming. If I take her, not a peep. She will scream and cry with him until I take her and put her down. Please tell me this is just a phase?
2. She is starting to turn on her belly in her swaddle at night. I have tried to now take her out of the swaddle, but she just cant sleep. I have tried taking one arm out, both arms out, sleep sacks..everything. She wants to be swaddled. And if she isnt, she cant relax enough to sleep. She still has that startle reflex. I have tried putting her to bed for naps and nighttime on her belly, but she starts crying...HELP!
Re: swaddling and other issues
On your second question, DD (4 months + 1 week) was growing out of the swaddles, broke out of them every night, and was starting to rotate 90 degrees (getting her head stuck at the crib bars). So, we are now in the Magic Sleepsuit. I'm not going to say it made her sleep through the night, but it does calm the startle reflex, keeps her from rolling or moving, keeps her warm at night, and basically put us back on a routine. Check it out if you have a chance. magicsleepsuit.com
