Growth spurt, stomach bug...or both?

So during this week at daycare LO has had runny and loose stools. We thought maybe it was his formula since we have been having on going problems with formulas. Yesterday he only ate 3 times total and slept from 9 am until 5 pm, and then was awake from 5 until 9:30 until he went down for the night and slept through the night (he's been sleeping through the night for about two weeks now). The past three bottles he's had he hasn't finished them - he leaves an ounce left and he usually always finishes his bottles. He has been sleeping now for almost two hours and he had another runny stool earlier this morning. There is a stomach bug going around daycare we found out yesterday (I actually have a bit of it today, along with a cold). I know that babies sleep alot during a growth spurt but I thought they ate more not less? Maybe he has a growth spurt and a bug?
