If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.

  • I hope everyone is doing well.  Good luck to all the ladies who are cycling right now, I hope 3T gets a bunch of amazing Christmas gifts this year!  And lots of hugs to the ladies who are having a hard time right now.  I saw a big migration this week, good luck to all the new ladies, I hope your stay is short.  I hope the graduate list grows very long, very soon.

Well, gotta love PCOS, flunked my second round of GD testing.  Met with the nutritionist yesterday, hoping that I can avoid needing meds.  I'm not at all surprised since I was on Metformin until 12 weeks, but I'm really bummed about it.

Had a followup ultrasound this week.  Jack is doing great, he's measuring a week ahead overall but his super long legs are measuring more then 2 weeks ahead.  Gotta tall boy in there!  Here's a pic of his super cute face.  I'm in love with his chubby cheeks and kissable lips!  He's so much cuter then at the anatomy scan when he looked like a wet kitten!

    image

Here's my giant belly, I can't believe I still have so many weeks to keep growing.  I feel like I'm at capacity already.  I'm scared!  This pic was from turkey day, haven't taken one this week.

  • No belly shots here yet, though despite being down almost 2lbs, I have begun to notice ridiculous bloat by the end of the day.  We had our 9 week u/s this morning and baby's (now officially a fetus instead of an embryo!) little heart was pumping away at 181bpm.  I'm starting to transition to my OB, so I actually have 2 u/s next week.  Little less than a month until we start telling everyone!

Nothing new to report here.  I have my next appointment next Friday and we'll hopefully schedule our anatomy scan then for shortly after New Years.  Yay!!!  Here are 2 pics of me - 6 weeks and 14 weeks.  I can't believe the difference!  I didn't expect to have any sort of a bump until closer to 20+ weeks.  It's not really that big, just bigger than I was expecting.

  • Everyone is looking so great! I can't wait to (hopefully) see some cute little baby pictures next week of the newest additions!

Riley-I'm sorry to hear about the GD. I remember how upset I was when I found out I had it. The diet really isn't that hard to follow after you get the hang of it. It's just figuring out what combinations of food work best to stabilize everything for you. I'm crossing my fingers that the diet alone works for you and that you can avoid meds.

No belly pic for me since I haven't taken one for this week. I've been feeling really great aside from the GD/Insulin which is great. I met with my OB yesterday and I think that I'm really going to like him. He knows that I am anti-induction, which will be a challenge b/c of the GD, but I think that he will only do what inductions are truly necessary for the health of me and peanut, which is nice. He's also a big supporter of me keeping the m/w in the picture and kind of sharing appointments with her even though he doesn't have to.

Peanut is measuring on track, and not bigger, so that is awesome! As usual her HB was fast, I swear she is going to be a ball of energy just like her daddy!
