Infertility

Beta # 2 is in

It is 446. On Monday, it was 161. So it more than doubled.?

I go in on Wednesday for an ultrasound.

I still have really bad back pain. I am going to email my RE about it now because it was the nurse who called me today. I am also going to email him about my low progesterone. It went down from 10 on Monday to 7 today. He says the suppositories don't register on the bloodwork, and I had a bad PIO reaction. So I want to see what he says.?

GIrls, you are the best. ?

As for the back pain, if there is slight spotting it could be just some cramping you are feeling in your back. The spotting is probably normal  especially if your beta numbers are climbing as well as they are.

  • Congrats on the great 2nd beta!

I had tons of cramping and back pain with my sticky bfp. It went all the way down my butt into my legs. I tossed and turned for two nights straight because I couldn't get comfortable. Also had every shade of brown/pink/red spotting you could imagine until I was 10wks.

AND...My Progesterone was at a 4 and they told me the same thing about it not registering in the b/w. I did start PIO and it went back up the next week. They said I could stop the PIO and go back to the supps but I chose to stay on PIO.

  • Woo hoo!

Back pain is totally common (I had it, too) and you should be just fine with the supps.  You're pregnant!!  :)

ETA:  My RE always told me that p4 results would vary throughout the day so he never even did p4 draws.  Don't worry too much about the difference between the 2 results.
