Help me with Christmas Gift (clicky)

So I want to get Nathan's daycare ladies (teachers) a little something before we leave on vacation next week because they truly are GREAT with him. If I was in the US I would just give them gift cards to Starbucks or something, but since there are no real chains here...I'm forced with the question of what to get them. I was thinking of making something hand made (like cookies) or maybe buying just small boxes of chocolates.

I'm torn, I think the homemade cookies (chocolate almond biscotti) would mean more, but maybe they would appreciate chocolates more.

I am sure it is different there, but here we cannot bring anything homemade into the center for fear of peanut/tree nut allergies. But if that is ok there, I would go with that.

lol...i thought so too! I'm still undecided about what to give the teachers.
