    We're planning to decorate this weekend. 

    I love the tree (don't have a mantle)

    I don't think Q will be helping much

    I think he'll like the lights

    I've got what I consider to be 3 mantles.  The actual mantle above the fireplace/chalkboard, the top of bookcases across the room, and the top of a buffet/hutch in our dining area.  I decorate each.  So far I'm not too happy with the actual mantle, it's lacking something.

    We've got the tree up, but so far it's not decorated.  It's really the first year that DC can help without destroying our keepsakes.

    I had begun to make some matching stockings this year, but I think that's gone by the way-side for next year.

    My favorite part... the presents!!  I love wrapping!

    no decorating here yet, got to wait till after the spiderman party this weekend. My favorite part is the lights, we take x-mas lights and run them around the cieling through the whole house! I think the kids love the tree. :)

    Have you started decorating yet? I finally took down our Halloween stuff on Saturday and put up a few Christmas things. We still have yet to get our tree.

    What's your favorite decor (tree, wreath, mantle pieces, etc)? I love having a fresh pine tree. The smell is wonderful and it is fun to unwrap and remember each ornament when we decorate the tree.

    Did your LO help at all? LO is helping make decorating this year a little more challenging. Hopefully LO can help us decorate in two years.

    We are done!  Stockings are hung, tree is up and decorated and all of the lights outside our hung and lit!

    My favorite is the tree..I just love the smell!

    The outside of the house is decorated, the lights are up!

    The inside is still decorated for Thanksgiving.  Hoping to do the rest next weekend.

    We're done.  I love our fireplace with the garland and lights and stockings.  I found a TON of garland at a yard sale a few months ago, so there is green garland in practically every room of my house right now.

    My absolute favorite decoration(s) though is the tiny red, silver, and black ornaments that I put in every vase, glass, tray, bowl throughout the house...they're everyyyywhere...and I love them.

    I just started a little last night. I really like my mantle, it makes the house seem so warm and inviting. I also do a similar "mantle" on our piano. Uhm, LO was sucking on a strand of lights when I turned around last night. We are getting our tree on Thursday, and I am guessing that this will be LOs fave- simply because it is going to be TROUBLE.

    I am hoping to start decorating this weekend.  I have a lot of my mom's decorations and ornaments for the tree, which I cherish more than words can express.

    I will have DS help as best he can and hope he does not destroy anything.

    I would have done it the day after T-day, but I had to leave t-day dinner to see about a baby and didn't get home until mid-Saturday.  I was too pooped to deal with lights and trees then.

    I'm decorating today!!  I have the house to myself, so I'm just going to take care of it.  First step : toss the pumpkins!  Miles hasn't seen any of the decor yet, but I'd guess his favorite thing will either be the tree or the snowflake lights in the yard.  He's pretty interested in anything that lights up.  My favorite, this year, for sure, is our new Noah's Ark advent calendar.  A new little wooden animal every day!! Awesome.

    Dispite my pre-child tradition I did not get the tree up the day after Thanksgiving.  My favorite decor is the tree of course! No LO will not help. I don't know what his favorite will be yet. I hope he will like making orniments with me for the grandparents this week.

    I'm doing it in pieces - normally I knock it out in one day but I'm trying to finish an advent calendar by tomorrow (yeah right)!   Favorite decor:  my mantle.  Yes - Ryan is helping.  So far it's the snow globes...we'll see if it remains true today.
    Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

    Just started decorating this evening...will pick up again after the boys go to bed if I still have some steam left in me. ;) 

    I love the painted tole pieces my mom did. I have a sleigh that I usually put cards in...her reindeer are currently visiting my sister. ;)

    The boys had total and complete say in the lights on the tree. ;)

    The *love* their Advent calendars.

    Did your LO help at all? he's still cooking, so no. but i had to take breaks between each task to rest. and MH didn't help either. hahaha

    What is their favorite holiday decoration piece? i do themes every year. MH's favorite piece is his darth vader ornament that goes on the tree no matter what the theme is. hahaha but we can't seem to find it this year... odd.

    Have you started decorating yet? Or are you already done? Nope...sadly we're not doing much this year.  With DH and his leg, and me being due on Christmas it doesn't make much sense to stuggle to get everything out when we're trying to get ready for LO.  We will put our stockings up but I think that's about it this year...maybe a small tree if we can get some help to carry it inside. :-(

    Did your LO help at all? Well...not so much this year!
