I don't know if we'll have any other children (and of course don't know if we'll have a boy), but DH's late grandfather's name was Oren and I kinda like it.
However, I don't think it goes well with Adair or our last name.
What's kinda funny is as I was discussing the name (poor DH, I just talk names to him for fun) I said it would go well with my grandfather's name (James) as a middle name. Then I realized with our last name (starts with an 'S') his name could be O.J. S----n.
I don't think we need to saddle a hypothetical baby with O.J. Simpson references
This would make a good nature name...I've seen it maybe once on this board the entire time I've been here. I do see the word, 'oral', but it's not as bad as Angus/Anus for me. This might also be an excellent alternative to Owen if someone is looking for something less popular.
Re: Here's an old name for thought
I thought it was spelled 'Orrin"? Or maybe it simply has two spellings. I like it. Easy to pronounce, minimal baggage, not trendy.
I wish Adlai would come a bit into style. LOVE it. Not sure why Orrin makes me think of it, but it does.

I think it works well with Adair, and I like it.
However, everytime I see it I immediately think "Oreo." But that probably has more to do with me than the name itself.
