12 week stretch/NT scan

Hi there

I am coming up on 12 weeks and plan to tell my best friends this weekend! I am excited, but also nervous because I have my NT scan on Tuesday.  Did anyone wait till the NT scan before they told people?  My family already knows. 

I should just tell my friends and stop being a worry wart right? it just makes me nervous that I had my apointment at 8 weeks and nothing since. I am excited/nervous for the NT scan.

    We told all our family awhile ago, and each of our two best friends. After the NT scan yesterday, we shared with our bosses, and a few other friends! I think it's hard not to after you see the picture... you squeal with pride and just wanna show off.

    i was waiting for the nt scan but my kid was very uncooperative soooo i have ended up telling everyone anyway with the expectation that i really should not be too worried about the images.  I decided that since i would be 16 weeks or so now by the time i got the results and hopefully showing, it only made sense to tell.

    We told our family and closest friends as soon as we knew around 7 weeks, which I know is really soon, but I'm waiting till my 13th week to tell the world.  My NT scan is tomorrow!  Can't wait!  And yes stop worrying!  I guarantee your baby isn't!lol

    Before my NT scan, I only told my immediate family, DH's immediate family, and my group of best friends (3 of them). I had mine today, and will tell the rest of my "peeps" as the week continues. However, the NT scan is not what was my deciding factor. I am starting to tell others now because I am further along (13w tomorrow).

    I think the deciding question whether you want to wait or not is: Would anything change for you if you saw something unfavorable in the NT scan?

    We've already told close family, but that's it so far. We are waiting until after the NT Scan to tell others. My OB considers 12 weeks to be the start of second tri, so if we see that our LO is okay during the NT Scan, I'll feel much better knowing we made it to the second tri. I'll be ready to tell people then.

    We have told family but are waiting until after tomorrow (our NT scan) to go public.  I haven't seen baby at all or heard the heartbeat yet so I wanted to wait before everyone know.

    I understand how you feel! We told the rest of the family over Thanksgiving (our parents/siblings already knew), but decided to wait for our scan and 12 wk appointment (tomorrow) to make it public news. I guess I'd just feel better having one more A-OK from the doctor :)
