OB in Bergen County

Hello ladies!! We just found out last week that we're pregnant with our first baby!!! We're so excited!!! I still dont think it's really sunk in yet!! I'm 5.5 weeks and will be due June 27th. I'm looking for recommendations for OBs that are affiliated with Hackensack Hospital or Holy Name Hospital. I'm kinda picky with doctors and would love to find some that you ladies out there really like. This is a very exciting time, and I know I'm going to have a million questions during the next 9 months and I want a doctor that's going to be around for me when I have a problem or just need advice. Also, I would like to be assured that they're reliable and that I have a good chance of having in the delivery room with me and not some wacky on-call nurse that I've never seen or heard of before. (IDK i hear crazy stories! lol)

Any recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks ladies!!! And congratulations to all the mommies and mommies to be!!!

I go to a group that works in the medical building right at Hackensack Hospital. It is a group of 4 doctors, that you see all of them during your pregnancy so you will have one of them there for your delivery. There is like one weekend a month that none of them are on call and they have another group they work with, so you chances are pretty high of getting someone you have seen. So far, they have been so great to work with, and all have been very nice.

The first one I saw was Lizbeth Kopp and she was great. They are very good about answering questions, and if you have any problems they tell you to call them and they always call right back.

I go to Dr. Collado in Hackensack. Her office is on Overlook Ave. about a block away from HUMC. She and her nurse practitioner, Darlene Clemente, are extremely caring and I like them both a lot. 201 342-1191

Thanks girls!! I was looking at my insurance website yesterday for names of doctors to research and call and I actually wrote down BOTH of the doctors you mentioned. I like that they are all right near the hospital and there's mulitple doctors in the group. I will defintely call both of them for a consult and see where that leads me. Although I trust doctor's referrals for specialists, I appreciate personal recommendations equally since it's the PATIENTS that are being treated by these doctors and not their PEERS. Thank you so much again!! It is very much appreciated!!!

If you're still looking for suggestions I have a great one for you. I go to Women's Health Partners- they have offices in Cliffside Park and Teaneck and their doctors deliver at Holy Name in Teaneck. I have seen two out of three doctors in the practice so far, Dr. Devorah Daley, and Dr. Miriam Langer. They are both fantastic as is their staff. I feel very welcome, at home and able to ask the doctors anything. They are a great team.
