This cycle I was trying to get back to charting but it has not gone so well.
We started trying to have Sex ED, but then the day before Thanksgiving I started feeling like I was getting a UTI. Sure enough we had to leave my in-laws early (day after Thanksgiving) because my symptoms got sooo bad.
I barely got any sleep for a couple of days so I didn't temp and was so distracted by the UTI I stopped testing with OPKs oh AND of course my H cannot go anywhere near me until I"m feeling better.
In 12 months of TTGP this is my 4th UTI.
I just can't win. :-(
Re: Charting fail....head desk
I get UTIs pretty easily, but I found that I didn't get them as much or as bad when we did EOD around O. ED is not necessary. Also, as a preventative measure, try cranberry pills, they work wonders. And lastly, but not leastly, what has worked and was suggested by my doc, is drink a big glass of water before you have sex. By the time your done sexing it up, then go take a big 'ole pee afterwards to clean out your urinary tract of anything that may have gone where it shouldn't have gone...
UTI's suck! Sorry that you keep getting them.
Thanks YNK for the advice.
Yes I know ED is not necessary we were just trying to try something different.
I just yesterday bought some cranberry pills and will start taking them daily. I drink cranberry juice pretty regularly but adding the pills can't hurt I guess.
I make sure to pee both before and after sex, but will try the glass of water maybe that will help to flush my system thanks.
Like Ya Never Know said, perhaps switch to EOD sex. Every day might just be too much for you.
Also check the Holy Crap Pt 2 post. She posted something about frequent UTI's and using something this cycle to prevent them
I tend to get UTIs if I am dehydrated. If I drink a LOT of water daily, I am okay.
I am sorry that you aren't feeling well and hope that you feel better soon.
