Wubbanubs..

We ordered DD one, any pro's or con's you can think of? She loves her binky but it always falls out, we are hoping the wubbanub will help her keep it in her mouth.Stick out tongue

Re: Wubbanubs..

  • love it. we just ordered lo another and I bought one for a friend who is due next month.  Some people have mentioned that you cannot detach the paci to clean it, but I just throw the whole thing in the laundry, or prop up the animal with the paci in boiling water to sterilize it.  We call it the froggy spa treatment. =-)

  • We have a few.  I love them for the car because it is much easier to find a plush animal than it is just find just a paci.

I am a freak though and am way too paranoid to have them in K's bassinet at night.  She tends to try and suck on whatever she can get to her mouth first (which is usually the animal part) so I don't want her to do that while she is unsupervised.

  • We have the giraffee too. I love it- its cute and it does keep it in her mouth. At first she would pull the animal and it will really make her mad when her paci came out. Now she hugs the animal or plays with it. Its a lot easier to find then just a paci.
  • My DS loves his Wubbanub. I guess the only con is that it's a pain to clean and doesn't fit in those cute pacifier pods. :)

But PP is right, it's easy to find because it's attached to a stuffed animal. It doesn't pop out of DS's mouth as easily and it gives him something to grip so his arms aren't flailing around, waking him up from his nap.

  • I don't like the ducky one I have because it's attached to the "duck bill" which is a flimsy piece of felt so it doesn't stay in place well, especially since my little girl tends to spit out her paci but the other animals may not have the same issue
  • Thanks ladies. Its coming on wednesday, I hope she likes it. Big Smile

  • My daughter is CONSTANTLY dropping her paci! I was considering buying one of these but wasn't sure. Thanks for posting this, OP, and thanks for the reviews everyone else! I think I'll get her one as an early Christmas present :)

  • I'm going out to buy one tomorrow. We are having the same issue with the paci falling out of her mouth. I'm hoping this helps our situation. : ) Plus, they are really cute!

  • I just ordered a wubanub hoping DS would keep it in his mouth.  Its a lot smaller thann I expected and we now know that DS hates Soothie pacis, so hes not a fan of the wubanub

If you still like the idea of one there are pacimals and on other company I've seen.  I think they use different types of pacifiers.
