If you fed/feed your babies breastmilk, what quantities are they taking at each feeding? I nursed my babies on maternity leave, but now that I'm back to work they eat out of bottles during the day. Usually they take around 5 oz per bottle, but occasionally they'll do 7-8 oz!!! Is this too much? I don't want to overfeed, but also we're working on nighttime sleep so I do want to encourage calorie intake during the day. They do six feedings per day (plus sometimes a middle-of-the-night feed), and it's hard for me to know total intake because for the first one and the last two they nurse...but their total intake during the daytime is usually around 15 oz.
Thoughts?
Re: How many oz at 4 months?

8 ounces is a lot and 5 ounces is more like it...
Little Rose is 2 1/2.
My almost 4 month old is EBF, and I send 4 bottles to day care, each with 5oz. Sometimes she gets to the 4th bottle, but most of the time she only takes thrree of them.
That said, my 4 month old also wakes up 2-3 times a night to nurse.
It's killing me. I'm exhausted.
