Help with my stash!

Hi, I'm new to this board, but just started putting together my stash for my January baby. What else do you think I might need? Will this be enough for a while?

 -1 dozen GMD orange edge prefolds

-1 dozen GMD yellow edge prefolds

-1 dozen infant sized unbleached Indian prefolds (got a package from momsmilkboutique, not sure how these compare to the GMD prefolds) 

-5 Kissaluvs size 0

-3 XS Thirsties covers

-2 Thirsties Size 1 Duo Wraps

-2 snappis 

and for a bit later:

-6 BumGenius Elemental AIO OS 

 

I still need to get my pail liners and wetbags as well.

I was thinking of getting about 5 XS BumGenuis AIO, or maybe some Lil Joeys, but not sure how else to round out my stash. Suggestions?

    I think the recommendation is at least 24 dipes that fit baby if you're CDing in the newborn stage full time. I had 24 and was constantly washing so you could even add some more. You have 12 newborn PFs and 5 kissaluvs, so you could use 7 or so more newborn size (unless the infant size prefolds will fit a newborn?)

    I used only PFs in the newborn stage but I have read others post good things about the Lil Joeys and the xs AIOs.. so whatever you prefer! Congrats btw :) and GL!

    with the AIO diapers you need to change the whole diaper each time you change your baby (like a disposable you wash), and with a newborn that is about 12 times per day... so you need more diapers depending on how much you want to do laundry.... if you want to buy less diapers we use gdiapers (you only need to change the cloth part each time you diaper, the cover is a reusable cotton cover with a snap in liner) we only had 12 for our LO and did laundry about every 3 days, we have 8-10 of the bigger sizes and those last longer.  Also if you wanted to do cloth wipes bottoms up baby has an nice system, and is saves a lot in wipe costs!
