This was posted on the Breastfeeding board a few days ago but in case you didn't see, did anyone hear about this? Or did anyone have any problems traveling over the weekend?
DH and I took the boys to New Orleans last year for Mardi Gras. The in-laws watched Emma and I pumped the whole time we were away. TSA said nothing to me about breast milk. I brought it through security and didn't have any issues. Last I checked the TSA website, breast milk was ok to bring through.
Your little hands wrapped around my finger and its so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eye lids flutter cause your dreamin so I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
To you everything's funny, you've got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have hunny, if you could stay like that
Oh darling dont you ever grow up, dont you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling dont you ever grow up dont you ever grow up, it could stay this simple
I wont let nobody hurt you, wont let no one break your heart, no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up
"I was told to ?pump and dump,? and asked why the milk wasn?t clear,
also asked where my baby was and if it was really milk (uh traveling,
working mom pumping doesn?t usually have the baby with her)."
I just flew yesterday from Vegas to Iowa and the woman with TSA wanted me to put my breastmilk through X-Ray. I told her no, and she threw a huge fit, telling me it was no big deal. I had NO problems flying from Iowa to Vegas. I was upset, but luckily they didn't put it through x-ray.
That is just horrible...I flew with breastmilk over Halloween and was so scared that it was going to be a huge issue, it was not, but then again it was before the new rules went into effect.
Out of curiosity...I wonder what would happen if the milk went through the xray machines? I wonder if there have been any studies done on it?
