Cloth Diapering

Show me how you store your diapers?

Now that I have a fairly decent sized stash of diapers I am having trouble finding something to put them all in. I did find a basket but it doesnt fit anywhere downstairs! Show me how you store your diapers? Please :)

  • Right now I use this:

We are still looking for a dresser that we like for DS's room, so this is our temporary storage.

We keep prefolds and covers in the top drawer. The second drawer is pockets, and the third is fitteds.

  • I don't have pics, but I separate mine by who uses them.  MIL only gets well loved BGs.  She gets a clean stash at the beginning of the week and as I do laundry I put hers in a tote bag to take over.  DH's pockets get stuffed after laundry and put in a basket on top of the dresser.  Beside the basket is a sposie wipes container and an empty container with cloth wipes and spray, he gets to pick.  In the top drawer of the dresser I keep PFs, fitteds, and covers.  Wool longies go in the PJ drawer.  If I'm closing at work I try to stuff a MF insert on top of the hemp in one of DH's pockets, but otherwise I keep a couple in that basket and he will stuff.

  • We have a dresser that has three smaller drawers on the top and then two long drawers underneath (it's a wide dresser). We are using the top three drawers for inserts and PFs.

Then, I'm hoping to get something like this to store the actual diapers (I'd buy a couple if I had to):

However, I think to start with we'll have something more like what the first responder uses, a plastic one, to make sure it works for us before we invest a little more money.

  • I use a dresser as DDs changing table. It has 3 large drawers and I use the top 2 for diapers.  I have a basket on the dresser for wipes.

  • I love these ideas! I need something for the living room/downstairs since we are down here 99% of our day. I put them all in a wicker basket but the basket is huge and fits no-where. I like the wicker basket drawers and that might work. At this point I am going to put them all in a recyclable grocery bag and carry it around as needed lol.

  • Sorry I don't have a pic, but I keep my covers folded and on the corner of the changing table.  I only have 7 covers so it fits nicely.  I keep all my inserts in the top drawer of the changing table/dresser.  Wipes are in a basket on the changing table with a spray bottle and other diapering and bath time necessities.  I'm going to have to change all this when the twins arrive and my diaper stash quadrouples!!!

we used to use the PNP by hanging the diaper stacker that went with our DS bedding...but now that it is down and we still do 99% of our changes on the mail level I just bring a few down in the morning. Our diaper pail is in the bathroom on the main level which helps. I have a little diaper bag thing from target that stores all of the creams/wipes/powders/oils etc and I just throw a few diapers in there too and bring it down in the morning and back up at night :)
