Re: Fluid in uterus coming from csection scar...
Yes, I have the same kinda thing that they pretty much know why I am not getting pregnant. Although, he called my adenyomyosis(sp) from c section. He removed about 50cc of bloody mucous sorry tmi. He said this is causing implantation problems and probably why I had a miscarriage. He said there was no treatment for mine except monitoring and removing the fluid with a canula and aspirating it and watching on U/S to make sure it is gone. I don't know if he plans on doing this before my IUI this month or what but it explains to me why I have had cramping all month and random spotting throughout every cycle and after bd ing. Not sure if this is what yours is but sounds similiar. He told me any surgery would just cause more scar tissue (cell growth). He was also amazed at how much fluid I had and said it was the worse he had ever seen. GL let me know what you find out!
We had 2 years of IF trying to conceive #2 and one loss during that time. We are currently trying for #3! had another loss the end of June
Yes, I have the same issue. I have AF and then spot through ovulation. Almost every u/s at the RE's shows fluid up by my scar at the beginning of the cycle. I even had to have the camera thing inside the ute to take a closer look. I have actually gotten to the point where I tell the RE (big clinic, rotating Drs.) about the fluid before they take a look and panic.
The recent RE said he has a patient who has the same problem and he aspirates it out of the ute before her transfer.
Hi!
After my csection 4 years ago, i would also get midcycle spotting, around the time i was ovulating. i called my regular ob and was told it was normal, that sometimes after childbirth your cycle changes etc. Ugh, wish i was more assertive. But anyway, so does your doc think you can get pregnant with the fluid? my doc was talking about surgery if my iui doesn't work. I'm gonna get at least a second opinion on this. I am going to try and find someone who has dealt with this before. I just don't know what to do anymore.
Oh wanted to add that after my first cycle of clomid for an iui, the midcycle spotting stopped. but they did see fluid during my u/s. I switched to femerra after a bad reaction on clomid (unexplained heavy bleeding a week after iui) and didn't have the spotting the second time. but just this past cycle i did have a little bit.
I really know that this is my issue. And i feel like it's pretty serious and unfortunatley uncommon. I had an early miscarriage almost 2 years ago when we first started trying for baby two.
Just wanted to share in case someone is experiencing similar things.
Hi,
I was looking for info on the internet and found your post! I am having the same problem! I am having secondary infertility and the Dr keeps finding fluid in my uterus. They think its from my csection scar. She also said it is not common. The one time they drained it, we got prgnant on our own, it ended up being ectopic! My Dr said they wont do surgery either. I don't know what to do because I feel like this is the reason we are not getting pregnant again and was just wondering if you got your second opinion and if you had any luck since then? We are getting ready to go for another opinion ourselves next month. I am really hoping to hear somone say they got around this problem! Thanks so much!
