Dr. Brown Bottle ?

Sorry if this is a repeat, I tried the search and I went back 35 pages but couldn't find the posts.

I have seen previous posts about Dr. Brown bottles.  I didn't use that bottle, so I didn't read them.  We are having so much trouble with spitting up and gas.  For those using / have used Dr. Brown, would you recommend this bottle?  Any thoughts on them at all are greatly appriciated.  TIA

Re: Dr. Brown Bottle ?

  • Luke spit up so much until we tried the Dr Browns bottles! For us they make all the difference! He went from spitting 80% to about 25% pf the time!!

  • We don't have a problem with spitting up but we had a major problem with gas and switched to these and they have really been wonderful.  They are a pain to clean but other wise we love them especially with us switching to formula. I pumped for 7 weeks and this past week formula has been an easy transition with these. We first started with Avent and they gave her so much gas.
  • I used them with DS and he did great with them. DD took her first bottle the other night and she didn't get fussy or anything after eating! I love them. I have the glass ones and they're great!

  • The only complaint I have about them, is cleaning them. Otherwise, I think they are great. We use Dr. Brown's glass bottles and Born Free! glass bottles. Maybe try feeding a half ounce to an ounce less, taking a break halfway through the feeding to burp and then afterward, do bicycle kicks to relieve any excess gas? HTH!

  • Dr. Brown's came highly recommended to us and Jack does great with them.  I suggest getting the bigger size to start with because we are already done with the 4 oz ones.

  • We use/used them for both kids. Love them, just alot of parts to clean, but worth it. Neither of my kids got gassy or fussy with Dr. Brown bottles.
  • We use them and love them! DD hardly ever spits up and doesn't really get gas either. They do have more parts than the average bottle, but I really think its worth it to not have a cranky spewing baby Wink

  • I started with Dr. Brown's, but also use playtex drop-ins for long trips, etc. The Dr. Brown's always meant less spit up for DD, but they are extra work for clean up because of the extra pieces. GL!

  • Again, cleaning is my only complaint.
DS has acid relux and milk protein allergy, and had torticollis, used to EP, now we FF . April siggy 3-6 month

  • Love Them! There are 5 seperate parts to clean but its well worth it. Make sure you buy the sterilizer you put in the microwave. $15 at BRU and works in 6 minutes.
  • We switched to them a couple weeks ago from Playtex drop ins.  DS was having problems with gas and spitting up and we've seen improvement on both.  We also changed formula so I think it's a combo of bottle and formula.  As for clean up, it takes a few more minutes but not a big deal.
