I know this isn't a common name in the US and there are reasons for the name and I am not trying to be youneek but would love to know the general consensus on this name for a boy.
Whereas I like the name, I am say NAY only because my poor husband grew up with a super Greek name (Panagiotis pronounced Pana-YO-tees) and went through hell having to pronounce it for everyone who wasn't Greek. We all call him Peter, but neither one of us are in favor of ever giving our child a name that has to be explained.
Yay. It is very nice. I knew how to pronounce it - I dont think it is that difficult of a name for Americans to grasp. I would definitely go for it and honor your culture if that is what you want to do.

I don't really see how Dacian is hard to pronounce. I know a guy named Dacian when I lived outside of Cleveland and he loves his name, and so do a lot of people who know him. Although, that might just be in my area. Anyways, I think it sounds really cool.

Yeah, but Dacien is much easier to pronounce than Pana... yotis?
i would have pronounced it Dayshin, and i loved it that way, i like it the way its actually said too though...at first i didn't but then i said it a couple times and i actually LOVE it and the middle name goes very well with it as well! so awesome, its going on my list of awesome names i have heard! what does it mean?
Yay. I knew how to pronounce it and I think a lot of other people will too. I think its really nice that you are honoring your culture. Plus, it's a nice name all around.

I like it. I've never heard of Dacian, but I assumed that's how it was pronounced. I would think Marek might be generally more known here so you could switch them if you're worried about people not being able to pronounce it. It's not really that hard of a name though.

Dacian literally means = from Dacia (which is now known as Romania) it also in ancient Romanian means "wolf".
Marek is Czech/Polish for Mark which means "warlike"

pretty much how it looks. These are traditional names in my culture and just want to get a feel on how americans feel about it.
I like Marek more than Dacien, but both are fine. Not confusing on how to pronounce it either, at least for me.
ETA: Oops, just realized it was Dacian.
Disagree. Honor your culture.
NMS, but not bad. I would pronounce it correctly.

This. I don`t really like the sound of the names, but if they are meaningful to you and culturally based then go for it.
