a couple weeks ago i had to go on antibiotics and since ive had almost zero breastmilk production, so my girl who's 9 weeks now has been on straight formula for the last couple weeks... does anyone know what an appropriate amount per day would be? i know all babies are different so im just looking for a ball park amount. we dont go in to see our doctor for another couple weeks and i just wanna make sure shes getting enough. any help would be appreciated! Smile

    I was told that DD, who is also 9 weeks, should not be taking any more than 32 oz in a 24 hour period. I don't think we've come close to that but most days I think we are around 24-28 oz. It fluctuates by the day depending on what we are doing, how long she naps, ect.

    My doctor said as a guide not less than 20 oz a day and no more than 40 oz. She said around 30 oz per day is good.
