Babies: 0 - 3 Months

seriously, am I the only one??

Who's baby doesn't sleep longer than 2 hrs at night and cat naps during the day? I read all these post about STTN and I'm so jealous! When he wakes up by the time he eats and is asleep enough to be put down, I get about 30 mins of sleep at a shot. This sucks

Re: seriously, am I the only one??

  • Hes still young. Give him another month or two and he'll sleep better at night!

  • At first I thought you were talking about a 5 month old.  He is a month old. I agree with PP give it another month or so and you should be getting more than that out of him.  Also, try not running to him right when he starts fussing.  Just go check on him..if his eyes are open and he's crying then by all means but if his eyes are shut and he's just fussing leave him to fuss.  He will either go back to bed or wake up.  It's hard to sleep through the fussing and little noised but that will go away and he will sleep more peaceful.
  • Do you swaddle?  This might help cause then your LO won't wake them self up.

This! I offered DD her paci when she started stirring but wasn't quite awake yet and she immediately went back to a deep sleep.

  • That was us at first! Our pediatrician changed our formula and I started following EASY during the day. I'm not sure which helped the most but we were on  a 3 or 4 hour schedule right away. I know how bad those 30 min naps for you can be!

  • No you're not alone, my LO is 2 months old and still wakes every 2 hours or so to eat... bummer since he will go 3 or so hours during the day.
