Green bean caserole with bacon, how did I never know this existed?

One of my husband's coworkers made this, one of the single guys in the shop.  It was the best green bean caserole I have ever had.  YUUUUM!!!!  He got a lot of praise from me, and he happily gave me the recipe. 

After almost 3 years of IF and a crazy roadside delivery, we are loving life with our second beautiful daughter! Lilypie First Birthday tickers

    That sounds delish! I make green bean casserole all the time but I've never added bacon. Bacon makes everything better!!

    I am making this tomorrow and taking it to my mom's house. I saw a recipe on all-recipes.com that has bacon AND cheddar cheese in it. WIN!

    Yes it does!  And he said he drizzles the bacon grease from the bacon he cooks over the whole thing before cooking it.  Sounds gross, but no WAY would I alter this recipe.  So bacon drippings over the whole thing is in, lol.
