Trying to Get Pregnant

Anyone else in the kitchen this early?

Woke up at 4 am to temp, then re-woke up at 5:45 to get started in the kitchen. We are having a breakfast Thanksgiving with the in-laws and then a big dinner with my side of the family.

Anyone else cooking away already? Or planning on wathcing the Parade?

Happy Thanksgiving ladies!

  • Almost... did a lot of prep yesterday.  Cranberry sauce in the fridge, prepped the mac n cheese, just need to get the green beans prepped and then we're off to the IL's!
July 20th, 2012: Never forget the day the fb douchebags tried so hard, but ultimately failed. Viva la October 2011! Yeah, I called you douchebags.

  • I am in the kitchen now as well, but it's not quite as early where I am... I'm on the East Coast so it's already 8 am here! Coffee in hand ready to go at my Butternut Squash Apple Soup for early dinner at mom and dad's today Smile

  • Prepping the stuffing now, gotta get the turkey in by 930. Also have sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce to make, and the rest of the cleaning to do before the ILs show up at 12!  Yikes, gotta keep hustling, but had to check in :)

  • Ha!  Nope!  DH and I are having quiet Thanksgiving for two (I have to work tomorrow).  We are running in a Turkey Trot in 2 hours, and then I will cook our little tiny turkey breast.  It should only be a few hours to get my food fixed!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Good Morning Ladies!

Going to moms for dinner, so I just have to make dessert which is in the oven right now.  We are having pumpkin upside down cake.

    Happy Thanksgiving!!

  • I only have to make the sweet potatoe casserole here before heading over to MIL's at noon to help her cook the rest of the feast since she broke her foot.  I'm gonna wait another hour or two before I get cooking on that.

I wish I had done more prep last night, but we started drinking and then it all went downhill from there.

I was up at 7 to start cooking... turkey, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, cheese grits, mashed potatoes, green beans, and chocolate pecan pie. I'm going to be cooking all day!

  • I got up early, but just so I could snag some deals on Best Buy!  I was up late last night making a cranberry swirl cheesecake and a sugar cream pie.  Once we get to my parents, I'll help my mom finish everything else up.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you wonderful ladies.  :)

  • Yep- I just sat down for my first break. Already made pumpkin and apple pies, stuffed the bird and set the table. Waiting for DH to get home from the gym so we can put ornaments on our tree- that's our thanksgiving tradition. Have a great day everyone!! :)
  • No cooking for me this year... NONE. I thought I liked the idea but to be honest I feel really lost right now! LOL I dont know what to do with myself.

Leaving around 12 for my mom's and then to the ILs later at night for dessert. I have a feeling I'm going to be going way overboard on Christmas dinner which will most likely be all on my shoulders.

    Happy thanksgiving all!

PS - for a little pick me up I highly recommend coffee spiked with eggnog instead of milk =)
