adding LO's SSN to DEERS

I need to add LO's SSN to DEERS (he's already enrolled).  Do I need DH to go with me or can I just go in & do it myself?

    I did it without DH. I also forgot my special POA, but they added it without it. If you don't have the special POA, I would take LO's birth certificate as well, just to be safe. Good luck!

    You should be safe with your ID, DH SSN and unit info. Plus, LO's SSN, Birth Cert.

    Just make sure you have your ID with you, but you can do it yourself. I had to because my DH left before he could get the SSN on there.
