  Yeah, like I said its never been on my list but it seems like a lot of "older" names are coming back & this one I haven't seen all over (Audrey, Olivia, Molly, Matilda etc are) So its the one I like the most that hasn't come back around. Just in case I ever go the timeless, classy route..wanted to see if people agreed that it was one lol. Thanks!

  I like it. I wouldn't put it on my list because it immediately makes me think of Days of Our Lives. But, I think it's a great name.

  All I can think of is Days of Our Lives and I know in our family (one where all the women watch that show) it would be constantly compared too.  I am not really a fan of it.  I would prefer Marlene (mar -leen) insead.

  I would have pronounced Marlena like Mar-leen-uh. I've never heard of it before and am not a fan. I like Marlene though.

  I work with a Marlena (pronounced Mar-lay-nuh). She's a beautiful person inside and out -- I think it's a lovely name.

  I have a friend with this name, they nn her Mar (eek!). Anyways, She pronounces her name Mar-lei-na,  I think its a pretty name, but since her nn is Mar ... it kinda ruined the whole name for me.

  Love it!  I had a friend in high school whose family was German-American and her name was Marlena.  I think it's really pretty, but I don't watch soaps, so I didn't make that connection.  I like it!
