F/U to cold question from last night

I called the pedi this morning, and they definitely wanted to see her.  She has gunk in her head and lungs, and they're worried about it turning into something worse.  So they prescribed the poor girl some cough medicine.  Fingers crossed that it works quickly.

Update on my cold - Terribly worse.  If I try to talk, nothing happens.  I am minus a voice.

  • I'm glad you were able to get her in. Did they give you any other tips on how to get the gunk out?

Here's to a speedy recovery for you both!!!! ?

They pretty much told us to keep doing what we're already doing.  Steamy showers, humidifier, etc.

    Thanks, bobby.

  • Did you ask about using vicks vapor rub? I was told I could use either the baby or regular kind. I used to rub some on his belly and feet when he was sick. It really helped him out.

Hope you feel better too! I would send you some chicken and rice soup but you can't mail liquids.

    Gawd, the terrorists ruin EVERYTHING!

I haven't tried the vicks, but if she isn't better tomorrow we might check it out.

  • She will feel better in no time! Kids are resilient, it's us adults that suck at healing. Feel better soon!

Do you need your voice for your new job?

  • SB  - Thanks!

Yankee - The voice helps.  I feel like I have no credibility when I ask for something in a squeaky voice.  lol

Dude I know!! I normally hate Chicken and Rice soup unless I am sick. It warms the belly. Try Vicks it worked wonders!
