FB name - Karitop

Is this a real name in another country/ethnicity?

I just saw it on FB and am trying to refrain from judging, but all I can picture is:

It's so different that I think it must be ethnic and I feel bad for chuckling at it.

    I did the same it appears most of the people using it are from colombia, peru and equador.

    You found more than I did. It must just be a name that doesn't carry over well.

    I wish I could be like the "Naming Police" or something sometimes. So when names like this came through I could just forbid it. Yeah some girls want to be nurses and doctors, this is my dream Big Smile

    I did a Facebook friend search on the name and found several Karitops. It seems it is ethnic - probably Latin American in origin.
