I have always wanted to, but have never done it.
I really want to get laser hair removal in that area,
I've never done it simply because I think it would be too awkward.
How much is exposed when you're getting waxed?
The person I go to gets it done (the whole thing if you kwim) in about 15 minutes. I usually get my armpits and lower leg waxed, and also my eyebrows and upper lip threaded in the same appointment, and I'm out of there in a half hour...45 minutes if I have to wait to see her.
It took 20 minutes. Wow, I could never do that on my own!
FRom the waits down but they see a lot because your legs are open with your feet against each other.

There is a place in NY I have heard about that has TV's in the ceiling so you can watch and they use the new hard wax so it doesn't hurt bad at all!

It's over so quick. My upper lip and eyebrows take longer with my nail lady.
I just stare at the ceiling and answer her small talk questions. Take a deep breath as she pulls the wax off and it doesn't even hurt.

They don't have tvs but they use the hard wax so it doesn't hurt.
Ditto, ditto. And at the risk of being TMI. I have a bit more to wax than the normal woman, so I am so embarrassed and afraid the person would think I was gross. (I am embarrassed just typing this.) I really want to get it done though.

Same here, on being embarrassed. I'm slightly disappointed that you didn't have a wonderful recommendation for a local place that does great waxes, because I feel so awkward asking for recommendations, lol. I've been doing my own eyebrow plucking now, since I haven't found a place I love around here that does it well.
So for the back, do you have to like bend over? Haha, I want to get a brazilian, but I think I'd be too embarassed!
Have you ladies ever heard of Magic Cream? I was on a baby board when I was pregnant with my DD 6 yrs ago, and it was the craze then. It is a razorless hair remover cream specifically made for AA men. It is sold by the mens shaving cream. I get HORRIBLE bumps from shaving, had one bikini wax and vowed never to get another one again...this stuff is amazing! I will warn you, it smells like a perm (no lie), but works WONDERS! No irritation, no bumps, just smooth and clean!

I used to pay $5 for my eyebrows in ATL, so I just do them on my own now since it will be impossible to find something as good and cheap!
I would get it done weekly for that price!!! I pay $20 here and dont get it done nearly as often as I would like
The lady I go to is awesome and she will chat the whole time. She takes about 20 minutes and man is she thorough. She waxes, tweezes and threads the whole thing. I think the most awkward part is when she has me hold my knees to my chest in order to wax the bottom half..awkward.
I do try to get in about every 6 weeks. Oh and she doesn't tolerate shaving inbetween. She will totally call you out.
I got them threaded at an Indian salon. They didn't really speak any english, and were super fast! I was looking at some old pictures the other night, and my eyebrows honestly looked amazing.

This is at a salon, but pretty standard. It may be a bit cheaper at a nail place, but anywhere I have gone that has done both looks too sketchy for me.

In Miami, it's standard to be full service. I get hair, nails and facial wax all at the same place. They call it a spa and hand out wine and cheese.
WTF, I want wine and cheese. I can't complain too much though. I can walk out of my salon with a wax, eyebrows and pedicure for less than 40.
I need to move to Miami. I mean really. I would love to get waxed regularily but it gets soooo expensive. How much is a Brazillian? I am guessing it would be around $80 here

That's too bad. You're missing out on the potential of chemical burns and pigment discoloration of your anus.
I have the same "more to wax" problem, and I have super sensitive skin so I can't shave without getting bad razor burn that will last like 2 weeks. It defeats the purpose really. So, I am a girl all for waxing. I was embarrassed at first, but honestly they see tons of women who have similar problems, and the more you do it the less the hair grows in. Very much worth it IMO!
