Today my parents were on their way down south (10 hour drive) for my cousin's (mom's brother's son) funeral. This evening I called my mom to check on them. My biggest fear is that they will get in an accident when they travel. I was talking to my mom and my dad was driving when all of a sudden my mom started screaming and the phone cut off. I was terrified. Before I could call her back, she called me to let her know they were OK.
They were going 80 when a utility truck merged right into them. They went into the median, got hit again by the truck and went back through traffic and into a ditch. Eye witnesses said they thought the car was going to flip and that two other trucks almost hit them as well.
They were driving my brother's car because he volunteered for them to drive it. If they were driving their suzuki rodeo (SUV) I don't know what would have happened to them.
Anyways, they haven't been checked out (I'm not sure they are going to be) because they both feel fine and never had any whip lash or anything. They don't have a scratch on them, although the car is crazy beat up.
God was watching over them, that's all I have to say!
I just wish they were here and not in a different state so I could give them both a big hug!

This! What an awesome God!
That's amazing! God does watch out.
So glad they're okay! God is SO good ALL the time
reminds me of an instance, my boyfriends brother and his uncle were on their way home from work going through chicago on 294 (if any of you live around the area or know how bad it is, you will understand) however, 294 during rush hour is horrendous. They were traveling at about 75 or so when all of a sudden they smashed into the tires of a semi, wound up doing a few 360's through all 4 lanes of traffic before they hit the cement median not once but twice. The car was just about totalled (they were in a magnum) however, they walked away without a scratch! it was definitely a miracle they didn't wind up dead...
also, my parents and I were on our way to indiana from pennsylvania when we stopped to let our dogs out to pee. after that we went a few miles only to be stopped by a huge traffic jam. we were listening on the radio to see what was going on when there was a 60 car pile up including semis. the roads had been so bad because it was december. sometimes the little things help out in the end! had we not let the dogs out, we would have been in the accident ourselves...
The Nutty Life
THIS!! I'm so glad everyone is safe!
I'm so glad they are fine....and yes God is truly amazing.
