Clicky Poll: Do you rinse your fruits and vegetables?

I'm not talking about leeks or lettuce that is covered in mud.  I'm talking things like packaged romaine hearts and spinach, plus regular fruits and veggies.

  • I just randomly decided to wash my fruits/veg last night and was disgusted at what came off of them.  I use that produce wash, and I'll never NOT wash them again.  Blech.

  • Oh, yeah, and if anyone has any tips to get the wax off of apples, I'd appreciate it very much.  No amount of scrubbing worked!

  • I do, but DH doesn't.  I can't watch him prepare food.  It makes my OCD go into high gear!

This.  Our moms both stick their fingers in it, taste and don't wash their hands.  It makes me very cranky.  DH will now do a perfunctory rinse to ease me, but ugh.

FOr apples, cukes or any other waxy food, I use Fit-  https://www.amazon.com/Fit-Vegetable-Soaker-Refill-32-Ounce/dp/B001E5DZQQ

Find some that are locally grown and not covered in wax. That's the only way I've gotten around the waxiness. lol
