Please tell me what you are eating! Asher had his 4 mo appt today, and we went over a list of issues he is having. Our conclusion is that he might have a milk protein allergy. So I am giving up dairy and soy for two weeks and we will re-evaluate then. I am bummed because I love anything made with milk! Tell me what I can have!!!

Re: If you have gone dairy/soy free
Get Earth Balance margarine and Almond milk. Both cook just like butter and milk and will be very helpful. Other than that I am cooking almost all of our meals at home. We eat Vietnamese and Pei Wei every now and then too. I've also had Mexican food a few times. I usually order mole enchladas with no cheese. There shouldn't be dairy in that dish.
Good luck!
Oh yeah oreo's are dairy free and so are recess puffs cereal.
It was really tough at first but it's gotten easier.
We love pasta around our house and Whole Foods sells a rice based parmesan cheese that's totally dairy free. Pretty much tastes like Kraft parm. We buy the Earth Balance as well and I've been buying rice based yogurt, milk, and cheese from Whole Foods. Trader Joe's has a pretty good selection of vegan products that are also soy free. Luckily I've been able introduce soy back into my diet so that has made things easier. A lot of dark chocolate is dairy free as well as sorbets.
We've been eating a lot of Thai food as well. Panang curry only has coconut milk in it and almost all of the noodle dishes are dairy free.
If you are trying to eliminate all dairy, make sure you read labels really well.
This! Been dairy and soy free for 3 months. I think soy is the toughest because most things that are made for people who are dairy free replace it with soy.
You can find a ton of things at Whole Foods or a Trader Joes if you have one around. I typically find a dairy/soy free bread (which is actually hard to find) and do veggie sandwiches. Eggs for breakfast. Lots of chicken and fish for dinner.
If the soy allergy/intollerance is severe, you need to look at everything. We even found that our cooking spray contained soy. Keep those eyes peeled.
