The Pill sucks, and a question...

So, I went back on the pill a few months ago and have been spotting ever since.  DH has said that I should just get off of it -- I mean, for the love, it took us 2 years and IVF to get pregnant.  We have both MFI and I rarely ovulate.  But, his MFI isn't THAT terrible, and I do ovulate sometimes.

We don't want other kids now.  Would you jettison the pill if you were me??  Or what?  I mean, it's not like we're fertile... but....

    You could explore other BC options maybe. How do you feel about: condoms, a diaphragm, IUD, different pill, nuva ring, etc. Maybe talk to your OB about other options. It seems the hormone balance isn't quite right for you.

    I'm a living example of a "less than 5% chance"  coming to fruition.

    I'd recommend an IUD if you're sure you won't be TTC again for a while.

    I personally refuse to use hormonal BC so we're using condoms close to O and VCF's at all other times.

    Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
    Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

    I just went back on the pill and had a hard time with it as well - but with my endo I was having really painful ovulation and AF once I stopped BF'ing so I really had no choice.   It does seem like a strange thing to do when it took us so long and IVF to get pg the first time, but as howleyshell reminds us - miracles do happen!  We're definitely not ready for a "surprise" at this point, and I can't deal with the pain of endo and two very active boys, so the pill it is.  I agree with Mrs. Reem though - maybe talk to your OB about a different pill or an IUD if you're spotting so much on this prescription.

    If you don't want another baby now don't take the risk...  See ticker below...  We were using condoms and VCF....
