When did you get a BFN? ((DS pic & ticker warning))

I m/c 3 weeks ago this Saturday, and just poas for the first time- still BFP. It showed up super fast and was a dark line :-( I know it is still early, but I was still hoping... How long did it take you to get a BFN?

eta: I have had a f/u and the u/s showed that I had passed the pregnancy.

Isn't your doctor testing your levels down to zero (or close to zero)?

I haven't POAS since my m/c started this time, but I'm going in weekly to see where my hcg levels are.

How far along were you and how high were your levels to begin with? If they were super high (like in the tens of thousands) it could take a while to drop.

I had a D&C, but today at 3 weeks post D&C I BFN. Well actually I'm not sure if it was a BFN or a faint positive, but it only looked positive if I squinted and looked in exactly the right light, so I'm assuming it was a BFN. I can't believe I'm actually excited about that... now I can't wait until AF shows up and we can start TTC again.

I got a BFN one week after my first m/c. I didn't have any blood work done with that first one. For the second, I didn't take any hpt but my hcg was <5 less than one week later.

I suppose it really depends on how high your hcg levels were before your m/c. For me, the highest beta I got was only 107 so mine didn't have very far to drop.

Thank you for your advice. I never had my HCG levels tested, so I have no idea how high they were. I was 8 weeks at the time of the m/c (took Cytotec to pass it), baby only measured 7 wks 3 days. Since the doctor said that I had passed everything at my f/u appointment, I didn't even think to ask about testing then. I really was not happy with the OB during everything, I have an appointment with a new one in a couple of weeks- I think I will call tomorrow to be seen sooner. thanks again.

Since I had a D&C my doctor isn't monitoring my levels, and I don't know how high they were when I m/c'd at 9w2d (I know I was 5100 at 5w5d). I tested 2 weeks out from my D&C because I was curious, and got a pretty faint positive, so my levels are probably pretty low.

I was 8wks with a blighted ovum, beta the day before was 5K. Negative test 12 days after D&C. I think everyone is different, but if you're still getting BFP a few weeks out, I think you should ask for a serum beta. Good luck! I'm sorry because this must be frustrating, I know I was eager for my body to get back to "normal."

I had a D&C about 2 months ago. My doctor didn't test my levels down to zero, just told me to take HPTs to make sure the levels were decreasing. I didn't get a BFN until after 6 weeks. I was almost 14 weeks when I m/c so that may have been why it took a while. It seem that it's like everything else- everyone is different. As long as the line is getting fainter each time I wouldn't worry.
