  • My LO is not quite 5 months yet but I will answer anyway. =) Nate usually drinks anywhere between 25-32 ounces with at least one meal a day sometimes 2.

  • When she has a bottle, it is a 6 oz bottle. But I don't know how many oz she takes in per day since we mostly BF.

  • At daycare she takes two 5oz bottles, and one 4oz bottle (she drinks half before her rice cereal and half after).  At home I nurse on demand.
  • At 4.5 mos, DS eats anywhere from 24-38 oz per day. He gets exclusively breast milk, if that makes a difference.

  • DS is bottle fed only- he hates the cereal and he will drink 8 oz every four hours- so around 40oz a day
  • DS drinks about 35-40 oz a day. That's what is good for him but every baby is different. There's no magic number that every baby should eat. If your baby is gaining weight and growing consistently, then she's eating enough for her personal needs. Don't worry about the cereal either. Just wait until she starts giving you signs she's ready. Some babies have no interest in solids until 7 or 8 months. Don't stress mama :)
  • Isn't there some equation or something?  I think it's like 2.5 x weight in lbs = total oz. per 24hr period.  Does that ring a bell to anyone?
