How long did LO wait after cerclage was removed?

With my DS I had an emergency cerclage put in at 20 weeks when my cervix went down to .5 cms.  After months of bedrest, they took it out at 36 weeks and induced at 38 weeks and a few days.  This time around, they did a percautionary cerclage at 13 weeks.  Its at about 2.5cm now, so what is the norm after  they remove the cerclage?  Did your LO's stay in just fine or did you give birth a few days after?  TIA

    I'm wondering the same thing. This is my 3rd cerclage, but hopefully the first to bring me to term ( I lost my other 2 just before 16 weeks). For being on this board from time to time, it seems as though most people's will stay closed for a couple of weeks after they are removed. I hope that's the norm. Good luck to you.

    I wish I could help but mine is still in.  He couldn't get behind the knot to remove it and I will be induced because of the GD.  So I will just get an epidural, remove stitch, then start induction.

    mine was an emergency cerclage placed at 18w5d. It was removed at 36w b/c I was starting to dialate. DS arrived 37w1d!!

    Doc tried again this morning and was able to get the stitch out.  Will keep you posted if she arrives before induction on the 23rd.

    Mine was an emergency cerclage placed at 20 weeks and removed at 37 weeks.  DD came at 39w6d on her own.
