You said in your post below, that you are a pharmasist.  I am wondering if you can help me with a quick question.

.  Lo is on the generic form of prylosec. (omeprazole) and the container expires tomorrow.   Well we are weening him off it and I don't really want to buy a new container considering he is almost completely off of it.

Do you think I really need to buy a new one or can it past its expiration date a little bit?

    I'm a technician, so any advice you would get from a licensed Pharmacist would take precedence. 

    That being said, depending on how long you expect the weaning process to take, I wouldn't buy a new box.

    From my understanding, OTC's won't kill you if they expire, it's more that they lose effectiveness.  

    Again, take that knowing that I didn't go to school for 4+ years to learn the trade.  

    Batman likes to watch cartoons on the weekends. Whatever.
