Disclaimer: I have no idea how effective it is to try for a gender. And I would personally not try for a specific gender even if it was 100% effective.

Well according to my dad if you want a boy then you keep your socks on when you're bd'ing and take them off if you want a girl, lol. There are all kinds of theories, I've also heard that male sperm are faster than female sperm but female sperm are more resilient so depending where your egg is, how soon before o you bd, etc. you can conceive one gender over the other.
P.S. You may not get a good response to this question. Most girls on this board are just happy to get a baby let alone worry about the sex so they dont like it when people come on with questions like this. Just a heads up

Eat lots of lemons right before sex and use a hair dryer to heat up your vag then GET AT IT!
Note: for a boy, YH needs to eat a jar of pickled herring and ice his balls

I literally just busted out laughing in class....guess that's what I get for bumping at school!
This made me LOL at my desk, now I have questioning looks from my co-workers. Haha
You are posting this on a board where women just want a healthy baby, period so you are not going to get many happy responses to this on here.
That being said, while I don't truly believe in it, I have many friends that swear by the Shettles Method. The theory to conceive a girl is to have sex 2 or 3 days prior to Ovulation. The girl sperm live longer but swim slower so the boy sperm will die off, leaving the girl sperm left to get to the egg when you OV. If you want a boy, you would have sex closer to OV.
I believe there is some science to it, but I don't think it increases your chances that much...maybe you are 52 or 53 percent more likely to have a girl. It's so hard to determine when you actually Ovulate that it's a hard game to play. I don't think there is any harm it trying the method if you want to though. Just don't expect that it will work. I also want to add that trying for a girl that way can also make it take longer to get pregnant.

To have a girl eat girls foods- yogurt, fruit, ice cream, breads. Avoid meats anything green or blue cause that is bot making food.
