DIY Pictures of LO for Christmas Cards

If you are taking pictures of LO yourself for your Christmas cards what are you doing?

Last year was easy because she just laid there, but this year I can't get her to stay still at all.

Any ideas for toddlers who are running all over the place?  The only thing I thought of was to put her in a box that is wrapped like a present because maybe she would sit in there for a little bit.  What could I use as a backdrop though?

  • We just did ours out back. I also like the idea of doing them in front of the Christmas tree or the fireplace.

  • A good picture for kids that won't sit still is wrapping gifts. A few stacks of prewrapped boxes, some loose ribbon and wrapping paper are good occupiers. And you can shoot it in front of the tree or a backdrop. Plus a toddler playing with wrapping papers makes for big smiles:)

    Great idea!
  • We are taking her to see Santa in early Dec.  Depending on how that goes, we may use that photo.  She is likely to at least hold still for that!  However, it's likely that she'll cry too, so who knows...

If that doesn't work, then I plan to put her in her cute holiday outfit and take as many pics in front of the tree as possible until I find one that works.

  • I am going to put the girls in their xmas dresses, take a million photos and hope to get one I can use...GL!

Cute idea! I guess I have to put the tree up soon then!  That was my original thought was in front of the tree, but I didn't know if I'd have enough time to get everything sent out in time.
