"B" Belly?

Is anyone else rocking a "B"-shaped belly rather than a nice round "D"-shaped belly?

Re: "B" Belly?

  • yep, even at 20 weeks, I still havent' completly lost my "waist."

  • I had a "B" belly for the longest time...I was a little chunky before getting pregnant but not very...just took forever for my bellybutton to want to come out to the front!  It is basically a "D" now, still a little indent in the middle...but I found that full panel mat pants and my bella-band helped smooth the "B" to a "D" before it did it on it's own!

  • I had a bit of a B belly until about 23 weeks.  Then I really popped and now I am most definitely a big ol' D belly.  I'm on the chunky side so I figured it would take me a bit longer to look pregnant but now there is no doubt.

  • Yes, 24 weeks and I still have a "B".  In maternity clothes and especially with the Be-band, it looks more like a "D", but without any clothes, there's still an indent.  Hoping it goes away soon!

  • I'm still a B belly but I can feel the belly button and waist pulling so I imagine (and HOPE) i'll be rounding out to a D soon.

  • I was kinda overweight too, not HUGE, but a size 12ish. I wonder if that's why it takes us longer to look "really" pregnant.
  • Thanks for this post, it's really annoying me too! I will look into the band, my SIL recommended it as well.

  • I have a b bump. But I blame it on my granny panties that I'm not willing to give up. As soon as they don't fit, I'll switch! I swear! But until then my undies separate my bump into baby and pushed around stomach flab.

  • The Bella Band (or similar) definitely helps with the B belly. I had it bad with my 1st pregnancy.  I actually used my Bella Band the entire pregnancy just to kind of smooth things down. It came in handy post-partum for the same reason!

  • I was a size 6 pp and I have the "B" belly now...I dont' think it's necessarily a weight thing. The "D" will come soon enough, I guess, and until then there is full belly panels to smooth it out!

  • 27 weeks and not even close to a D belly yet. Crying I started off a size 18...
    STM due Feb. 2017!
  • I was a 2/4 before BFP and I'm still in my size 2 pants with a bella band. I think I have what you are calling a b belly... My blog has a photo.

if so it's more of a 'the way we're built' because even @ size 2 I had a layer of chub under my belly button that I just couldn't get rid of.

ps- it was a lot of dieting and exercise to get to a 2, so don't hate me
