Recommend your swing..

Do you have one that both rocks and swings?  Does it really matter if it has both functions?  Was it worth the purchase?

Re: Recommend your swing..

  • I love my swing!  I got this one because it plugs in.  It is at a great price right now.  It was $130 when I got it, but it was a shower gift.

  • I'm sure it was not the best thing to do, but A loved his swing and would sleep for 12+ hours in it at night (it was in our room).

I was so sad to put it away, because he just became too big and it wouldn't swing anymore.  It was the Fisher Price My little Lamb swing.  And we did use both the swing and cradle...but A-man preferred the cradle.

  • I had the FP rainforest swing.  It was bought second-hand from a consignment store so it was really inexpensive.  It was able to swing two different ways but I wouldn't say that Z preferred one over the other.  It also has a mobile and music, which he loved.  And I liked that it plugged in so I didn't have to worry about batteries.

This is the same swing I have and we bought it second hand as well.  Phoebe loves it!  She naps in it all day long.  If I didn't have it she would still be sleeping in my arms all day.  I do recommend one that swings both ways.  She hates front back and always wants side to side.

This one is the one we are borrowing and love it as well.  Plus, like Natalee said, it plugs in which is great so no wasting batteries.

  • We have a Graco swing that was given to us.  It is pretty old and I don't even think you can really buy one like it but it was a LIFESAVER.  It only swings, and it has a timer and music.  It used batteries but I think we only changed them once or twice.  If you don't register for one or get one as a gift, you can take the covers off and wash them so it is a good thing to get second hand.
  • We have the fisher price little lamb one as well.....
