Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

OMG-freaking out!

Okay, I'm pregnant and I am in total shock! We are thrilled but weren't planning on getting pregnant until this summer (I'm a teacher, so I was trying to plan it around school). Anyway, I'm freaking out because I haven't been taking prenatal vitamins, I have had LOADS of caffeine, I have had several drinks, and I haven't been eating very healthy lately. I'm in total shock. I'm not even sure how pregnant I am and had what I thought was a period last month but now am thinking that is not what it was. Holy smokes.

  • Congrats!  This one was a shock for me also, we hadn't planned on trying until July or August, and I got pregnant in May.  It took me 15 months with my daughter so I was in total disbelief.

  • Congrats!  FWIW, I went to Las Vegas and.. well drank... a LOT.... two weeks before I found out I was pregnant.  I freaked out about it and called the Dr and they told me not to worry because there was not enough of an established connection between me and the baby at that point in its development.  Just start taking the vitamins now and hold off on the drinks :)
  • Congrats! Im JEALOUS :) when i was pregnant with DS and didnt know it, DH and i polished off a whole bottle of wine on Valentines Day, I wouldnt worry!

  • Congrats! And welcome to the club! We weren't planning either, we were going to start trying in June. But now we are expecting in June! So here we go again, and we are excited!

  • What you've been doing sounds pretty typical for many women who get pg w/out planning.

Congrats, and be happy you have lots of time to get used to the idea :)  This one was a major surprise for us too.

  • Congratulations!  I've always heard that you shouldn't worry too much about the stuff you did before you found out you were pregnant.  I mean, hopefully, it's not like you are going to give birth next week and end up on "I Didn't Know I was Pregnant."  Ha ha.  DH and I conceived DS on our first try and with this baby, we wanted them to be spaced ideally 15-19 months apart.  Well, it happened on our first try once again, so they will be just under 16 months apart.  It's funny how sometimes it takes forever to conceive and sometimes it doesn't.
