April 2008 Diagnosed with Unexplained Infertility
5 failed IUI cycles
2009-2011 IF Treatment Break - saving for IVF and TTC on our Own... Praying for a miracle

IVF (Long Lupron) Bravelle & Menopur, ER on 11/4 (Retrieved 17 eggs - 16 mature & 16 fertilized!)3dt on 11/7 (Transfered Two "perfect" 8 Cell 0% Frag Embryos) = BFFN

Nov 2011 - July 2012 Taking time off to heal before FET
(We have three beautiful frosties waiting for us)

FET August/September 2012 = BFP!!!

    A break cycle finally worked for us. We had done as much as clomid + TI and were prepping for our first IUI. Best of luck to you - it's so frustrating...

    Side bar - I don't mean to offend anyone by saying we did "as much" as clomid + TI. Thats just as far as we got before we started prepping for IUIs. I know it's not very much - but it was what DH was comfortable with in the timespan of us trying :)

    I voted 1st IVF, but we got 2 bfps without any help, one ended at 5 wks, the other at 12 wks.  Also had 4 perfect iui's - bfns.

    I got PG after my second IUI we did 3 rounds of clomid with TI then a IUI with just clomid. The sucessfull one was had added the ovidrel trigger.

    We tried Clomid for 3 months

    then we did clomid + injectable + IUI.  Worked :-)

    clomid iui # 4 worked for us, however we've since had 3 injectable/iui's BFN, 1 IVF-BFN and IVF# 2 was converted to IUI-BFN
    Our miracle IVF baby - D 6/09 & J - Surprise! born 9/10!!!

    I voted 2nd IVF. However, technically our 1st IVF was converted to an IUI due to poor response to the Long Lupron protocol. Our 2nd IVF, we did an antagonist protocol with Ganirelix which worked!

    I tried three cycles of Femara + IUI.  They never worked.  I had two pregnancies conceived on our own after the Femara, but they both ended in miscarriage - blighted ovum and ectopic.  We decided to pull my tubes out of the equation due to the ectopic pregnancy and moved onto IVF.  The first one worked and resulted in twins!  Good luck!  My RE did tell me that IVF has a very good success rate with those couples that are "unexplained."
    BFP#1 ended in a D&C 1/18/08 --- BFP#2 ended in ectopic with lap 4/2008---BFP#3 resulted in our beautiful twin boys born 3/6/2009! Lilypie Third Birthday tickers

    Thanks for posting this question.  I had the exact same question.  I have done 3 cycles with clomid and two of those with IUI.  Trying to decide what to do next month if this cycle doesn't work.
