Our LN is Fowler, and I have a big hang up on FN's ending in "er" because I hate the way it sounds, but just realized a friend's daughter's whole name-Janelle Bell. I had said her 1st name, but not FN and LN together (she is 2 months old).
Whenever I hear Fowler, I think of Lila Fowler from the Sweet Valley High books.
Sorry, that's really random and has nothing to do with your post!
Totally!
But I know what you mean. I don't want to use any name that ends in -en or that sound because our last name does, too. Which is unfortunate because it rules out a ton of great names.
I'm not sure if the rhyming was on purpose or if they just never said the two names together, either way that poor kid sounds like a cartoon cheese wedge

Yeah, I know what you mean...one-syllable names are out for us. I think it's tougher for you though since ER endings are very popular right now.
And for random, Fowler makes reminds me of Chicken Run.
