Baby #1 - didn't settle on her name until 15 minutes before we were discharged - I decided literally when I was signing the birth certificate.
Baby #2 - we didn't even have contenders this time around. No list of favorites... nothing. We decided on Lily on about day 5 (she was in the NICU for 8 days).
we didn't decide on dd's name until ten mins before my csection. This seems the same case this time around also.
We didn't name L until she was 71 hours old and the hospital staff was twisting my arm. We figure if we name this one within 48 hours, we're doing well.
No, you're not! DH and I have only JUST narrowed it down to two choices--and I'm being induced on Tuesday. I really avoided the subject because I didn't like any of his choices, he didn't like any of mine and we just couldn't agree.

Wow they give you a while to pick a name! In MD the hospital has to file the baby's birth record by the time they're 72 hours (3 days) old, and they said if they have to file it Baby Girl M_____ it's a total PITA to change it later.
I'm due in 5 days yet DH & I do not have a girl name. We agreed on a boy's name months, but only have a first name for a girl. We have decided to see what we have. If it's a girl then we will discuss it further. Good luck!
no we still dont have a name either.. i just keep telling myself ok well he can't leave the hospital with no name! lol and plus we can't agree on a name and i know that after he sees this labor process i will get whatever i want! heheheh
I am due in 3 weeks and our little girl still has no name...I am hoping when we meet her we will be able to decide.
We have two Strong contenders at this point but nothing is urging us either way...We are also trying to get more name suggestions.
At this point I may very well let my 2 and 1/2 year old son pick either by asking him what he wants to call her or picking out of a hat or something...
We still aren't 100% set. We've picked out a few that we like and then we figure we will know which name is THE NAME once we see our baby. We don't want to go in with only one name and then have it not 'fit'
We picked our name for a girl while we were still trying. Just waffled a bit on the middle name, but that was still pretty easy. The boy name we picked a couple weeks later but I still wasn't pregnant yet.
I guess I should consider myself fortunate, because that's about the only thing I DON'T have to worry about this pregnancy.

You're not alone. We're Team Green, and we have a girl name ready to go, but no boy name. I've pretty much come to terms that if it's a boy, we'll name him once we meet him.

That's funny... a good friend didn't have a name until they were practically leaving the hospital and they also chose Lily!
This makes me feel a little better. We have some names that we like, but nothing that we love. Hopefully when we take a look at him, we'll know what his name will be!

Little Man (4 years old---holy cow) He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be. He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.
