So I have gotten some emails about the Ingrid & Isabel BellaBand. This is the belly band that will hide your open pre-pregnancy jeans so you can wear them for a few weeks before you really need maternity clothes. I have read a few reviews online that says it has a habit of rolling up when you sit down; this exposes your open jeans. Is it worth buying? I have shirts that roll up in the back so I think this would do the same.

Some people really love them but I personally hated it for that very reason..it never stayed in place and was always adjusting it. There's a post about this a page down or so too.

Yep, I had the same problem. I couldn't use it in my early pregnancy and I couldn't use it postpartum
I think it's better to spend money on a pair of maternity pants
I loved my BellaBand with my first pregnancy. I was teaching and had no desire to replace my costly professional pants when I had the crazy first tri bloat. It got me all the way to the end of the semester so I didn't have to bother with maternity pants until almost 16 weeks. And I wasn't teaching summer school!
I didn't have any trouble with roll until I got an actual bump. Just make sure you get the proper size according to their website.
I was so so with it until I realized I was wearing it wrong (thanks to the bump). I did not know that I was supposed to tuck it into the jeans then roll the other end over. Before then I just wore it over the pants and on my stomach. Doesn't work so great that way. I have them lurking for when I am ready, but luckily I don't yet. I had the Target brand and the Ingrid brand because I wanted brown.

Um, apparently I've been wearing it wrong. Thanks for the tip!
It works well, especially for my dress pants. I find pants with thinner material works best. It also worked well for my jeans. My dockers....not so much.
I'd buy one off e-bay for cheap and see if you like it. Or run by target and grab their knock-off. That's the one I have.

No prob! It isn't the only way to wear it, but I suspect some anti bella band people do not try it this way, and that is why it doesn't work so well. (Not always the case, though - as someone else posted.) Honestly, I would never have know if I didn't read a similar post when I was pregnant with DD. Hope it works better that way! It's worth a try!

I got the Target version in black for pregnancy #1. I loved it and was able to wear some of my [stretchier] non-maternity pants up until the 9th month with the band.

I'm confused. How does it hold your pants up and conceal them being unbuttoned if you tuck the band into the pants? (Sorry if this is an ignorant question...)

Half is tucked into the top of the jeans and the other half is rolled over the jeans (button and zipper) and not your stomach. If it is a good fit (somewhat tight, but not uncomfortable), it should keep them up. Pull your zipper up as much as possible and lock it in place. Totally not an ignorant question!

I have an actual BellaBand and love it. Bought bigger scrubs to last the rest of my pregnancy and right now they're too big, so the band is needed to hold them up. I have a cheap knock-off from Motherhood that's just ok. The material is different and it does move around a lot more.
I also have 2 of these and they totally rock too. They're super long and stay in place. I just wish they were cheaper!

AHA!! Genius!! I've been wearing it wrong and today has been really comfy w/wearing it the correct way. Thanks for the tip

I have the BeBand from Target and am still using it. I have yet to wear maternity jeans because of it. I don't tuck mine, I just put it over my jeans and it works fine. I think part of the key is to make sure it's pulled down far enough over the top of your jeans. Every once in a while I have to adjust it when I stand up. I tried tucking it at first and absolutely hated it. It rolled on me every time.
I also continue to use the rubber band trick under the BeBand. I feel like it helps to smooth out the waistband of my jeans.

The knock-off from Target may be worth trying since it is cheaper. I will have maternity pants as a back-up, but I like my jeans.

The size of my rear makes sure that doesn't happen! hahaha
