Just had sex for the first time since DD was born...

...and it only took 5 months!

It didn't feel good, but it wasn't as excruciatingly painful as the first few times we tried (once at 10 weeks, once at 16 weeks, and again tonight).  It helped to have DH on top because I think when I was on top all my muscles tightened up.  I knew DH would stop the second I told him to, but the pain was manageable the entire time.  Woohoo!  There's hope for baby #2 yet!

    Woohoo! I'm sure it will get better the more you try. I've been having a hard time with sex too. DH has to be on top or it ain't happening. It just feels so different.

    i know what you mean though - its still painful for me too -- where i had tearing/stitches still hurts :( i wonder how long it takes for that to get better??

    Woohoo!  I'm glad it wasn't so bad for you this time. 

    It took almost 4 months for our first time.  It was actually pretty good but we haven't done it since.  It's kind of pathetic but I think we're going to have to start scheduling it.

    by the way - your LO is ADORABLE!

    It seems like it's not the time you wait, but the amount of times you try.  I had a pretty non-traumatic birth and waited 11 weeks and it still hurt (not terribly though).  After doing it 3 or 4 times it stopped hurting.
