3rd Trimester

I'm not good at sleeping these days!

I think I need more practice! It takes me three tries to turn over in bed, and my stomach hurts like CRAZY in the middle of the night if I don't get up every 2 hours to pee. Anybody else suffering from 3rd trimester insomnia? What keeps you up at night?

  • Heartburn, turning over, 3-year-old needing to pee, needing to pee myself, the list goes on and on.

  • Needing to pee, carpal tunnel, pain in my crotch whenever I try to roll over, and a PUPPPs rash from another planet.  I am going to go crazy!

Awww...Sorry to hear about the PUPPS! My friend got it, and I feel SO bad for her! Hope things get better for you soon!

  • LO moving around profusely, needing to pee, the dogs, the cat, if hubby is breathing really quietly and then I worry that something happened to him so I have to check him, trying to turn over, the pains of sleeping on one's side for too long (and then the pains of sleeping on one's OTHER side for too long...).  Oh yeah, and some seriously weird dreams.
  • Heartburn, the need to pee every 20 minutes, BACK PAIN, her kicking or lodging her foot into my ribs. I was up til 4 am Thursday. I have 17 days left til my induction and I'm thanking God for it!
  • Needed to pee every two hours! Also, our cat and dog fight constantly and wake me up! Plus, DH is a FURNACE and I wake up in a sweat if I am even remotely close to him! Not to mention hip pain and turning over every 2 hours is almost an impossible task at this point.

  • Back pain, hip pain, the effort it takes to roll over, yet not being comfortable on one side for very long, the need to pee, and recently a lot of anxiety. I've  developed a lot of anxiety about things like DD climbing out of the crib and somehow falling down the stairs in the middle of the night, or DH getting hurt so that he can't work or even killed so that I'm left to raise two babies myself, or someone breaking in our house or DD getting kidnapped. I was like this PP with DD but it has started before the birth this time. Sad

Me too! I did not start having crazy dreams till mid last week, before that I thought all the people talking about them were just crazy! Last night I gave birth to my dog and my other dog was the doctor!

  • I can't sleep either!

    1.  Sometimes DD leaves her room and climbs into our bed - if we can get her back into her bed, it's great, if she completely freaks and we're exhausted we give in sometimes.  Then, she thrashes.  Eventually I may go into the living room, sometimes I stay there and take the punches.

    2.   We live on a corner.  The house that faces my bedroom window had a break-in two weeks ago, while they were home - the people ran off, when the homeowner went downstairs. The police came by and asked us if we'd seen anything (we hadn't), so now I randomly feel compelled to look out the window.  In the meantime, we are investigating/soon buying an alarm system.  We live in a nice neighborhood & we're getting a lot of breakins lately throughout.

    3.  Heartburn - I get up and take some Tums and sometimes a Pepcid.

    4.  Baby kicking, anxiety about my previous birth experience, DH snoring, the dog randomly barking, DD talking in her sleep through the monitor

Generally, I watch the Home Shopping Network during my insomnia.  I don't buy, but I think it's very interesting that people can describe perfume over the TV well enough that 5,000 think it must smell good & therefore buy it.

  • Every two hours would be heavenly. I got up eight times last night and if I don't, the baby starts punching my bladder.
