Ladies I need your help...this is not a bfp post so please no congrats...I have a feeling my doctor is not being up front with me.
This is the deal...
3rd IUI was Oct 30th
#1 Beta was 4 (I told the nurse that according to my research you are not pg unless it is 5 or higher) **HPT very faint line...barely can see it.
#2 Beta was 7 (This was done two days later; did not double, yet the nurse still tried to congratulate me on being pg. I could not get excited)
This morning I had heavy brown discharge and feel crampy which would mean my period it right on time! I call the nurse and she tells me not to worry it could be implantation bleeding???? wouldn't implantation come before beta numbers were detected?! HPT this am, even lighter than before.
I am frustrated because we have one more IUI before we go on to IVF and the doctor has not called me during any of this crap above,,,its always the Nurse Practioner (sorry for the spelling).
I questioned the nurse about the extremely low betas and told her at this point most all pregnancies are two-triple digits. She said not necessarily. I feel like I am being lied to which doesn't make sense because I have a good relationship with everyone in that office.
She wants me to get blood drawn on monday, but wants me to stay positive. NOT SO MUCH!
You ladies are the only one I can talk to about this because I don't want anyone else to know...not like they would even understand a word I say. I feel horrible about telling my DH that I am not pg even though I just told him last night. SUCKS.
Any words of wisdom for me? Please?
Re: pg, not pg, pg, not pg...I need your help
Hmm, that's a hard one. maybe it's a chemical pregnancy.
i'm not sure what else you can do now but wait until monday's blood draw. ugh, i feel for you.
when i had my 1st beta drawn the day i got a +hpt i had a beta of 9. two days later i think it was 39? but you could just be very, very early in your pregnancy? i'd monitor the spotting and then i guess you'll know.
sorry and ((hugs))
I am so sorry you are going through this. With my last IVF, my first beta was 5, and my nurse told me, "Technically you are pregnant, but don't expect this to end well." Which may seems harsh, but I personally appreciate that kid of honesty.
I hope you are in that tiny, tiny sliver of a percentage that defies the odds, but I would guess chemical as well. ((hugs)).
I would def call and ask to talk to the Dr.

I am so sorry you are going through this and so sorry the NP is being a jerk and not understanding. What dpo were your betas done?
My experience with a chemical was beta of 9, then beta uo nder 20, then my period arrived within a day. My doctor wanted the first to be over 20 to be deemed a positive pg -(even though under 5 is the marker).
hugs.
I am so sorry you are going through this and the NP is being an asshat. I agree with PP that it sounds like a CP. I am so sorry.
I hope you get the answers you need on Monday.

thanks for replying. i just checked it out and replied. the thought of injections scares the crap out of me. i guess we'll see what my ob says on thurs. ugh.
Ugh. I'm so sorry you're going through this.
It sounds to me like it may be worse than your NP being a jerk...I'm worried she might be undereducated.
Could you get more aggressive about trying to get a doctor to speak with you?
I agree with pps who said that it sounds like a CP. ((HUGE HUGS)) I sure hope Monday has a happy surprise for you though.
I'm sorry, being in the weird limbo stage sucks. I had a c/p last cycle and CD27 (probably 13dpo) my beta was an 8, then 3 days later it was 31, but 2 days after that it was 16. It's tough to get that bit of hope and have it not turn out, but it's good to be armed with the knowlege that it's a possibility. That nurse either doesn't realize how much worse false hope is, or maybe lacks the qualifications to be allowed to tell you it might be a c/p. I'd definitely try to talk to your doctor on monday.

Sorry you're dealing with this, limbo sucks. I really don't think the NP is lying to you. I think she's misinformed and/or she's avoiding being the bearer of bad news, kwim?
I would call and insist to talk to your doctor.
I'm so sorry you are going through this.
